Mizuho Capital Markets Corporation ("MCMC") is the specialized financial derivatives subsidiary within the Mizuho Financial Group. The new entity was created on January 1, 2001, from the merger of DKB Financial Products, Inc., a wholly owned subsidiary of The Dai-Ichi Kangyo Bank, Limited and Fuji Capital Markets Corporation(the surviving company), a wholly owned subsidiary of The Fuji Bank, Limited. MCMC is a U.S. swaps house that is indirectly wholly-owned by Mizuho Corporate Bank (MHCB). On April 1, 2002, The Dai-Ichi Kangyo Bank, Limited ("DKB"), The Fuji Bank, Limited ("Fuji"), and The Industrial Bank of Japan, Limited ("IBJ") have consolidated and reorganized their operations. As a result of the reorganization, DKB has been renamed Mizuho Bank, Ltd., and IBJ merged into Fuji, which as the surviving entity, has been named Mizuho Corporate Bank, Ltd ("MHCB").
