About

INAGIKU Restaurant, New York

Inagiku's tatami rooms are both traditional and modern. Traditional because a private tatami room in a restaurant is itself very traditional. Used in Japan for everything from late night business discussions in an "informal" venue to a first "date" for a couple considering an arranged marriage. And - did you know this was traditional? -- in the privacy of a tatami room, how you entertain is totally up to you. Modern because, in these rooms, you don't have to kneel on the floor - you can stretch your legs out in the alcove beneath the tables. We have one room for 2-3 people, 4 rooms for 6-8 people and an expanded room that seats 18.
