Harry Belenky, the founder of Belenky Brothers was a man of vision and dreams. These dreams propelled him to risk abandoning the stability of his homeland and leave family, friends and a secure family business to seek a future in the “new world”. Arriving on Ellis Island without money or contacts he overcame his obstacles and began a jewelry firm that was to last many decades. Over the years the business grew and prospered. When Harry’s daughter married, her husband Bert Bloomgarden entered the firm and when Harry’s son Larry returned from World War II he also joined the company. As time progressed his grandson David became a member of Belenky Brothers, and today his great-grandson Seth has become a vital part of the firm.
